The '48 by Salgueiro Dress Boots are emblematic of the Portuguese revolution of April 25th, 1974, also known as the carnation revolution, which marked the end of dictatorship in Portugal.

Named after one of the Portuguese captain who led the revolution forces through this iconic moment in history.

During this revolution almost no shots were fired and to celebrate the end of the dictatorship, people placed carnations in the uniforms of the soldiers and in the muzzles of their guns.

These Cap Toe '48 Dress Boots are expertly handcrafted with granite calf leather and red suede, finished with black laces stitching.
